CPR is easy to learn, easy to do, and the facts say that it saves lives. For every minute without CPR or defibrillation when someone’s heart has suddenly stopped their chance of survival falls by 10-15 percent.
As a bystander or family member would you feel confident to identify the need for, and perform CPR on someone needing your help?
Come and join the Hunua Volunteer Fire Brigade and the HAPVRA Team for an afternoon of training based on the national standard for public CPR. We will also cover the use of a public access defib plus essential community first aid.
Whether you have completed a first aid course before and want to touch up your skills, or have no training at all we want to pass on our knowledge and experience to benefit our community – especially in an emergency event.
Cost: $25 per person (limited places)
